Supplements are a great way to enhance or cut your growth, repair, recover and refuel your body and muscles before your next workout. They give you an edge, especially if you don’t have the time to compliment your body with the proper nutritional intake. One brand of supplement that I have used which is very effective is Cellucor, and I am perplexed why this amazing brand of supplement isn’t stocked in most of our popular stores. Sure you can get it online easy enough, but I would like to see the whole range of products being sold at physical locations as well.

After investigating and talking to the owners and managers of the stores I’ve realized that there are a couple of reasons that these companies don’t carry the product. One third party owner of a very popular and well stocked supplement store said that the Cellucor aren’t that friendly (which is funny as I’ve talked to Cellucor guys and they’ve been very friendly with me). At GNC stores its usually a miss—while most account associates know about Cellucor products they don’t seem to stock them at their stores. After visiting five GNC stores in both Los Angeles and the Dallas areas only one has carried Cellucor and that even not the entire range.

Presently here in Texas I haven’t come across any stores that carry the product, but while on a job stint in Orem, Utah all the Gold’s gyms had Cellucor stocked up in their supplement and shake department. I guess it’s who each individual gym partners and deals with at the end of the day—being a fan of Cellucor I would really like to see these supplements stocked in most locations as they are probably one of the most effective I’ve used in 15 years of my experience.

On a personal note I am the type of individual that would rather go out and buy supplements at a store; if you’re new to Cellucor products I highly recommend them (both for strength and mass gains as well as weight loss and cutting)—if you’re having trouble finding them at a store near your location, you can always find them online at Cellucor or GNC.

Android which is heavily sold in the U.S. lacks quality third-party applications and these emerging technologies could very well create new innovation and quality driven apps for the titan platform. Judging from mobile apps statistics, wouldn’t you want a piece of the pie too?

According to a recent study, created by Chetan Sharma Consulting, mobile app downloads will likely jump from 7 billion in 2009 to almost 50 billion in 2012. By this time, the market will be worth 17.5 billion dollars, the study predicts, despite the expected lower price of mobile apps, which should drop from the current average of 2 dollars per app to 1.5 dollars in 2012.

The CA, Cardiff based Mind Technologies already uses the Emotiv Headset for some of its other applications such as Master Mind, Mind Mouse and Think Tic Tac Toe as it enters into the mobile arena. The company is also plans to raise up to $15,000,000 to position itself as the world-wide leader in brain computer interface (BCI) technology, and is listed on the Deusche Borse Stock Exchange as Mind Technologies, Inc.

Appearing in the latest edition of TheJournal of Politics published by Cambridge University Press, the research focused on 2,000 subjects from The National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health. By matching genetic information with maps of the subjects’ social networks, the researchers were able to show that people with a specific variant of the DRD4 gene were more likely to be liberal as adults, but only if they had an active social life in adolescence.

As of July 31st, 2010 there are approximately 1,966,514,816 (billions) internet users worldwide, an astounding number if you compare to the 360,000,000 (millions) a decade ago in 2000. Out of those nearly 2 billion users, the continent of Asia stands on top of the world with the most internet users in the globally, surpassing Europe and North America combined.

Asia is also the most populated continent in the world, so it should come to no surprise that the breadth of internet users reside in the following countries (with China being on top of course):

The estimated amount of users in Asia is currently 800,000,000 (millions) which is about whopping 42% of the internet users in the entire world and is one of the main reasons large companies such as Google and Apple target the vast majority of users in China, whose internet usage is up from 22,500,000 in 2000 to 420,000,000 in 2010.

If you are ever wondering where the center of the internet is, you can easily see from the stats above that it’s clearly the mammoth China..

On Muslims and American Bigotry:

Associating minorities with crime is irrational, unjust, and completely normal, says slate today in an article i found extremely relevant to the times today:

Muslims are only the latest victim of illusory correlations in the United States. African-Americans have long suffered the same bias when it comes to crime. In every country on earth, you can find minority groups that get tagged with various pathologies for no better reason than that the pathologies are unusual and the minorities are minorities.

Having said that, the article was just a build up to a comment i most treasured. Do you folks read comments? I do, and many times i find comments more thought provoking than the articles themselves. After all the essence of blogging is (a) social (b) engage and let your audience discuss.

As i read over the “We Are All Juan Williams” article on Slate today I liked this man’s comment so much i couldn’t help but share it on my blog:

Being a Pakistani Muslim, I do believe that moderate and progressive Muslims should be at the forefront of rooting out those Muslims with extreme viewpoints. The truth is that more Muslims and, that too, Pakistanis have been killed by terrorists claiming to be Mulsims than have Americans. However, to make the connection between a minority group and violence, though possibly normal, is straying very clearly towards bigotry. As was clearly expressed, African Americans have been typecast for hundreds of years. Jews have been accused in the same manner. It is obvious that irrational fear leads to bigotry, but the consequence of bigotry is what is truly frightening (and, yes, I mean wholescale genocide).

As for the desire of most Americans that all Muslims should “assimilate” into American culture, to which “culture” in particular are they referring? Should Muslims be more Irish or Dutch, or perhaps, Italian or Polish? If one truly believes in assimilation in American culture, I suppose one should aspire to Native American ways of life, though, I don’t recall reading anywhere about the first settlers holding any such beliefs. If anything, it was these same European settlers who went out of their way to annihilate the native population. The fact is simply that culture is dynamic and its makeup will change with every new community adding its ways of life and ideas into the mix. As for Muslims, most are and always have been democratically minded. It may come as a surprise to non Muslim Americans that Islam believes that all men, be it king or pauper are equal in the eyes of God. And that belief in the equality of all men has been with Muslims for the past 1400 years. Aren’t European monarchs still being divinely annointed even now?

Out of the many articles I’ve read about the American – Islam propaganda, I think this man makes the situation for Pakistani Muslims very clear, and I especially liked his reference to Native American Indians who have been literally wiped out.

Americans and American immigrants alike must remember that history repeats itself as the article goes on to say:

Muslims are only the latest victim of illusory correlations in the United States. African-Americans have long suffered the same bias when it comes to crime. In every country on earth, you can find minority groups that get tagged with various pathologies for no better reason than that the pathologies are unusual and the minorities are minorities.

After all we are all immigrants in some form of the other…

On A Cheap Tweet:

Malcolm Gladwell (who I’ve taken a mild swipe at in the past) has an excellent article in the New Yorker called Small changewhich argues that Twitter isn’t the tool to use for a revolution or social change. Having used Twitter and other social media as part of the Alan Turing apology campaign I’ve had some direct experience of social change through social media.

After a couple of years on twitter (with many breaks and pauses in between) — presently I’ve really slowed down and I couldn’t agree more with John Graham-Cumming and Malcolm Gladwell about “Tweet is Cheap.”

Thinking back on immigrating to the States from Pakistan a third world country recently devastated by floods. A country where the poor walk around naked looking for scraps to eat. Mind you, the worst part isn’t the devastation of crops and people’s homes, it’s the famine and disease that follow. This will take years and years, a government and leaders which aren’t corrupt to fix.

Here in the States we take way too much for granted. Our cars, our food, “Burger King” and “Mc’Donalds” for breakfast—I’m loving it allright. I’m not saying that there aren’t people in developed countries who don’t feel the pain and suffering, but on the overall most people have no clue what’s happening around the world—especially Americans.

Let’s take a couple of minutes and thank the Lord for all our blessings and pray for all the unfortunate people around the world. Let’s reflect. Imagine you could have been born in a situation much, much worse. What if you could do nothing about it?

A friend of mine on Twitter @QueenSakina mentioned that there’s a difference between relative and absolute poverty—I’d like to thank her for bring that to our attention.
