I’ve been on a miss from Social Media and partial blogging as i just recently moved to the United States. It’s been about three weeks already so far and i’ve adjusted really well here in Los Angeles, California. I’m very excited to finally be back here!
Here’s what i’ve been upto:
- Headed to Utah to meet a friend and check out the job market over there. It’s pretty sweet in Salt Lake City had a great time outdoors. As for the job market it’s definitely better then in California. If you’re looking for work and don’t mind the slow life in SLC you should check it out, all the big name companies are out there; Omniture, Ancestry, Novell to name a select few.
- Alot of my time has been dedicated to networking and looking for work. You can catch me on Twitter or Linked In looking for a job suitable for me and talking to people.
- Spending quality time with my family (my sister, my niece and brother in law and the dog Ziggy!)
- Playing around with the Android API, yes i just picked up an HTC Evo 4G from Sprint. At first i was hanging out with my Blackberry but exchanged it for the Evo; all thanks to Sprint!!
- Met up with some long time friends that i hadn’t seen for ages.
- Keeping my gym routine going. Right near my house we have LA Fitness and the gym is pretty darn good. However i prefer Gold’s gym anyday. The ones in SLC were awesome, all 15 of them in one city. LOL.
That’s about it, other than that enjoying the sights, sounds of the United States. It’s like sensory overload for me here after coming from Karachi. Now that i’m somewhat adjusted I look forward to blogging more often! Catch you soon..

Don’t really know where did i stumble into your site from. Nice to read your blog entries. Just a question. Why did you leave Pakistan?
@Daniel: It’s not secure over there, hands down the biggest reason. The country is in a volatile position and could crumble any moment-at least thats the way i see it. Check out Terri’s comment above, she nailed it..
When you arrived in the states, it was really one of the high points of time on Twitter. Someone I’ve come to care about very much was able to move from an politically unstable environment to a crazy, but relatively safe one!
Most fun moment—the first time we talked on the phone—and Ahad, you sound every bit as intelligent and handsome as you look!
I’m looking forward to hearing more about your experiences here and hope, at some point, our paths will cross IRL!
Hugs, T
@Terri: Luvya! Always good to chit chat with you! I really hope we meet IRL someday, and i’ll tell ya it’s very possible; we’ll make it happen. Btw you’ll prolly be the only one i will actually meet from twitter.
Look forward…
